Monday, March 4, 2013 The CrossFit Open is only a few days away. A few of our local CrossFit athletes have been training for it for the past several months, so help push and motivate them to do their best by signing up and competing alongside them!!! The CrossFit Open is a good way to see where you stand against the rest of the CrossFit athletes around the world. For five weeks, one workout will be posted every week on a Wednesday, and you will have one week to complete the workout. This means you can do the workout multiple times to improve your score. At the end of the five weeks they will take the top 48 men and women from our section "NOR CAL" and have them compete for the top three spots to send them to the Reebok CrossFit Games. The Open is for anyone and everyone, and is made so that everyone around the world can compete. The movements are basic and the weights aren't tremendous, but be prepared to do alot of reps =). Sign up at games.crossfit.com and come bleed, sweat, and cry with the rest of us doing it. Every Friday I will be posting the Open workouts as the WOD so that everyone in the gym can be part of it even if they aren't competing =).
